However, to name Audi TTS the car on every day - means to give out desirable for valid. Mediocre visibility from a driver’s place, uneasy procedure of an input and an output, actual absence of a place for back passengers of a compartment (the roadster in general is calculated on two person), do not allow to name a small luggage carrier this car suitable means of comfortable moving in space. No, Audi TTS is not the machine on every day, it is an attraction of unprecedented generosity on delivery of positive emotions in days off and free from road a proside time. The sensation of a holiday is supported with reference design of an interior, the highest degree of quality of assembly and materials, and also dynamical shape of the car.

By the way, despite of the sports essence, Audi TTS has seemed to me by machine, quite suitable for the Russian roads. Both the compartment, and a roadster overcome fine and large roughnesses, not shaking out a soul from the driver and the passenger. Buyers of this car should not choose routes of a detour of tram ways and “ lying policemen ” - the uneasy balance between comfort and dynamics is found due to application of electronic system of regulation of a degree of rigidity of shock-absorbers. The successful combination of direct injection and turbo-supercharging has been successfully approved in “fighting” conditions of sports competitions. The racing prototype Audi R8 equipped by motor TFSI during with 2001 on 2005 five times won 24-hour races in Le Mans. Owing to a combination of technologies of direct injection and a turbo-supercharging the twisting moment of 350 Nanometers is accessible in a range from 2500 up to 5000 rev/min. Surplus of the twisting moment allows to be dispersed with 80 up to 120 km/h on IV transfer of all for 4,4 with, that does overtakings easy and safe.
One more advantage of the given motor - ease. The weight of the engine 2.0 TFSI only 153 kg as founders of the car assure, any of comparable engines of competitors cannot brag of such parameter. Having left a motorway under a sensitive management of navigating system, I have appeared on twisting rural roads where has continued to enjoy 450 “stallions” given in my order. Certainly, comfortable steering management self-descriptiveness does not indulge, and here to brakes of claims is not present. In what mood the driver villages for a rudder of this car, it simply should please behaviour of the machine on a slippery road covering. The big impression makes dispersal or, perhaps, start from a place. On road - well rolled snow here and there covered by an ice. But, despite of it, the car shows such acceleration that the impression as if time of dispersal up to “hundred”, making 5,2 with, does not depend on a condition of a road cloth is made. After that it would be desirable to leave the machine and to look: and whether is not present on trunks of 6-millimetric racing thorns? It is possible to advise for dealers to get on one car-schoolmate of competing marks and to suggest potential buyers A8L 6.0 quattro to compare dynamics of models, and it is better on slippery road. Even if the client will not buy the machine, impressions will remain with it for all life.
One more pleasant surprise became that in a “fighting” mode the car has shown moderate “appetite” - 20 L on 100 km. At quiet driving on the same country roads the average charge decreases up to 16 L for “hundred”. On highway it is possible to use economic VI transfer and then, on assurance of the manufacturer, the charge will make 9,9 L on 100 km. Probably, but only not in the winter and not in such weather conditions in what passed the test. As a whole the car has left good impressions, but for certain it yet all its advantages, simply for one day to learn about this machine all it is impossible.
Whether it is possible to name A8L 6.0 quattro new king among cars of a representation class? A full drive - conclusive advantage and if to estimate, how many days in a year on our roads slippery it is possible to draw corresponding conclusions. Anyway, having seen in the winter in a mirror of a back kind a silhouette new Audi А8, be not nervous, make way, resistance is practically useless.
Dealers Audi in Russia already accept orders on A8L 6.0 quattro. There Is a car practically as much, how many and competitors, - 161 thousand, and not the euro, and the American dollars, and is one more plus in favour of “ the lord of rings ”.

“Voice” of the motor does not get at all into interior, only on the highest turns its pleasant sounding is heard. Left boring city streets, I get out on covered by a snow and an ice a motorway. Cars trudge in the first number with a speed about 70 km/h. Temperature of air-1°C, road yet have not cleaned also strewed nothing, therefore to risk interested persons is not present. You, probably, think, what to me on new “eight” with a full drive unlike the majority of other participants of traffic from first minutes all was at all? Be mistaken. I have left in an extreme left number, and the arrow of a speedometer has instantly appeared at a mark “100”. But on a line deep pools with a snow and an ice and when the machine flew in these small lakes were formed many, it seemed to me, that, do not hold I more strong a rudder, it will be pulled out at me from hands! It was found out, that all business in adjustment of a pneumosuspension bracket which has been adjusted on the most comfortable operating mode. Perhaps, in such conditions more “strict” adjustments is better will approach. Indeed, was to translate a suspension bracket in more rigid mode “Dynamic” enough, and a 6-band box - in a semi-automatic mode as I have ceased “to catch” continually the machine and has started to take pleasure in advantage of high technologies.
The right number already seem to me costing, and going ahead of the machine hardly had time to make way. Through pair minutes to me it became practically indifferent, that under wheels - asphalt or sleet and an ice. Work of transmission and suspension bracket А8 give the driver such confidence, that all seems to it at all, and the new motor amazes with the pulling power. At 1000 rev/min on V to transfer the engine intensively disperses the machine with 50 up to 200 km/h (it is possible and more, but the situation did not allow: has become warmer and above road has hung a dense fog). On II transfer the car is dispersed up to 110 km/h, and on III transfer at 6200 rev/min - up to 160 km/h. Most “cheerful” has appeared IV transfer - it provides to the driver weight of positive emotions and allows to enjoy dynamics A8L 6.0 quattro in any high-speed mode. It is no wonder, in fact 95 % of the twisting moment the motor give 2300-5300 rev/min in a range, and on one “horsy” it is necessary less kgs, than at Porsche 911 Carrera! The maximal speed is limited by electronics at a level of 250 km/h and that it to reach, it is required to the car only 30 with.

Other important feature of this car - its weight. For example, owing to use of aluminium and magnesian alloys the 12-cylinder motor weighs 240 kg, that is it on 8 kg is heavier than all, than not turbo the 8-cylinder motor from АМG. Designers have not left without changes and the favourite aluminium body. It has appeared, and its weight can be reduced, not having worsened parameters of rigidity. And as a result the equipped weight of the car makes only 1960 kg! And Audi A8L 6.0 with the body extended on 130 mm 1995 kg weigh, that is it is easier Mercedes-Benz S 600L on 140 kg, and BMW 760Li - on 230 kg. And even if on over speed to dynamics A8L 6.0, maybe, a little also loses the competitors with more powerful motors owing to smaller weight on dynamics of braking and at passage of turns this machine will have for certain advantage. But we not begin to hurry event, we shall try the car in business, and then we shall draw final conclusions.
Empire quattro
Unpredictable weather has helped organizers of tests, having provided perfect conditions for demonstration of advantages of the new car. Since eight mornings up to two one o’clock in the afternoon - during all time allocated for the test, on ) clean side-streets of Salzburg the dense snow fell. Disaster for the majority of participants of traffic, but as it has appeared, not for A8L 6.0 quattro.
Having dived into interior of “eight”, I have appeared in an atmosphere of comfort and the luxury familiar to me still under the first tests presented in 2002 Audi A8. On a background of gloomy weather the interior trimmed by a light leather, drew the heat and a cosiness. At first sight, no special changes in interior are present: the same design, the same the multimedia interface and dactyloscopic “recognizer” prints of fingers. Here only registration of a sterring wheel other. Still pair minutes, and I, having included new adaptive headlights with light-emitting diode dimensional fires, already rushed on the offered route.

Very much few cars of a representation class can give today to the owner a combination of a full drive and 6-liter motor W12.

Let’s begin with the main thing - from symbiosis of a full drive and the 12-cylinder engine which German engineers first-ever successfully realized on previous model. How they have reached it, in fact dimensions of the 12-cylinder motor did not allow other manufacturers to use all-wheel drive transmission? But it looking what motor! Engineers Volkswagen inspired in due time still by Ferdinand Pihom, for a long time experiment different variants of an arrangement of cylinders and have achieved in this direction of unique results. Main from them - creation of the 12-cylinder engine of a W-shaped configuration in which two blocks are located under a corner 72, and cylinders of each block - in chessboard order and under a corner 15. As a result dimensions of the motor make all 513х690 mm. And it in a combination to the differential located between the engine and the hydrotransformer of an automatic box of transfers, has allowed to use well-known all-wheel drive transmission quattro. It was possible to engineers Audi, not increasing volume of the new motor to lift its capacity in comparison with the previous engine on 14 %, and twisting moment - on 30 Nanometers. Owing to more thin adjustments of length of inlet collectors, an exhaust system and phases of gas-distributing the motor gives out 450 h.p. and 580 Nanometers, and 450 Nanometers prove already at 1000 rev/min.

Owing to huge (for the engine of such volume) draft even routine trips from the house for work can be transformed into a small adventure. And what to speak about driving on the twisting roads which have been cut through in heaps of the fallen asleep lava … If you are indifferent to magic of a word “Golf”, this car hardly fall in love in itself at first sight. Warm feelings wake up to it only after a close acquaintance, and with each kilometer of the Icelandic roads new Golf to me liked more and more and more … On a speedometer of 100 km/h, under wheels gravel road, and in interior Golf silence and comfort actually at a level of sedans of a representation class. The suspension bracket perfectly smooths all roughnesses, not supposing breakdowns even on the most serious hummocks, - the car is literally drift on road. During this moment simply you do not think that tested by us Golf is equipped by adaptive management of a running part - electronics automatically arranges shock-absorbers under different types of a road cloth. This car does not press the authority, you simply go on it and enjoy surrounding landscape, gradually understanding a word meaning “standard”.

On the first test three versions Golf were accessible to journalists: with petrol motors in volume 1,4 L capacity 122 and 160 h.p. and with the 2-liter diesel engine (140 h.p.) . We have begun tests with the version equipped 122-strong turboengine and a 7-step box of transfers DSG with double coupling. By the way, henceforth all versions Golf, except for base 80-strong, can be equipped with a up-to-date box of transfers DSG with double coupling. I admit fairly: dynamics Golf with this motor amazes imagination. It hardly will please the drivers professing active style of driving and got used to untwist the engine up to a red zone of a tachometer. Advantage 122-strong turboengine in other - in pulling power, smooth, predicted work, responsiveness and, certainly, profitability. The motor reaches the maximal value of the twisting moment of 200 Nanometers in a range from 1500 up to 4000 rev/min. Already at 1250 rev/min, that is hardly above turns of idling, the engine gives 80 % of the maximal value of the twisting moment. In my opinion, the given motor ideally approaches both for city driving, and for distant travel. It is economic - consuming on the average only 6 L gasoline on 100 km, provides quite sufficient for a city rhythm of movement dynamics: dispersal up to “hundred” borrows only 9,5 with, and on a line you should not tail after - the maximal speed is limited on a mark of 200 km/h. For more temperamental drivers will approach 160-strong turbo compressor Golf or a 140-strong diesel variant. Especially impresses motor TDI - it of 320 Nanometers of the twisting moment are accessible from “bottoms” - about 1750 rev/min.
